ABOUT  THE  DESIGNER

Jazmyne was raised by a strong village of Black women who embodied style and grace in the face of adversity. One of those women is her maternal great-grandmother, Valeria Reid, who was lovingly known as “Libby.” The collections that Jazmyne creates are inspired by distinct memories related to the women whose lives Libby touched over the years.

The garments that Jazmyne designs are characterized by their touch of drama, confluence of textures, and lively prints—creating looks that evoke a sense of laidback glamour. Her love of fashion design developed at a young age and only grew stronger during her time in the corporate world. Jazmyne aims to change lives and connect communities through design.

Jazmyne was born in Cincinnati, OH and spent much of her youth in Oakland, CA. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University, where she concentrated in Government with a secondary in Sociology, and a language citation in Spanish. Jazmyne spent a semester studying abroad at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. She recently completed an Associates Degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design.
